MEET DIANE
For Diane, the natural world has never just been interesting—it has always been endlessly fascinating. From the incredible diversity of modern wildlife to the mysteries hidden beneath the oceans and buried within the fossil record, her passion for animals, marine biology, and palaeontology has shaped both her life and her career.
That curiosity began at a young age. Whether exploring coastlines, wandering through museums, or asking question after question about the living world, Diane was always driven by one simple thought: "How does this all work?" Years later, that same sense of wonder remains at the heart of everything she does. She believes that science isn't about memorising facts—it's about discovering the incredible story of life on Earth and sharing that excitement with others.
As an educator, Diane has a remarkable ability to make even the most complex ideas feel approachable and engaging. From the adaptations of deep-sea animals to the giants that once ruled prehistoric ecosystems, she has a talent for transforming scientific concepts into captivating stories that leave students wanting to learn more. Her lessons are energetic, welcoming, and designed to inspire curiosity in learners of every age and experience.
For Diane, education is about far more than simply teaching information. Science belongs to everyone, and she is passionate about helping others realise that they are capable of understanding and appreciating its wonders.

Meet Matthew
If you've ever wanted to know why dinosaurs ruled the Earth, how spiders became some of nature's greatest engineers, what really makes crocodiles living fossils, or why evolution is the greatest story ever told... you've come to the right place.
Matthew has spent his career asking questions about the natural world that most people never think to ask.
His background combines evolutionary biology, epidemiology, agricultural biology, zoology, and conservation, alongside years of practical experience as a zookeeper, exotic animal specialist, educator, lecturer, and teacher. He has worked with everything from tiny invertebrates to formidable reptiles, and he genuinely believes every species has an incredible story worth telling.
He particular passion lies in evolution. He loves tracing the journey from the mighty rauisuchians that dominated the Triassic, through the first crocodylomorphs, all the way to the eusuchian crocodiles we see today. Dinosaurs, prehistoric life, and the history of life on Earth has fascinated him for as long as he can remember, and he never gets tired of sharing that excitement with others.
He is also a lifelong enthusiast of arachnology and entomology. Whether it's explaining how a jumping spider sees the world, why scorpions glow under ultraviolet light, how insects shaped civilisation, or why the smallest creatures often have the biggest ecological impact, he believes these often-overlooked animals deserve their moment in the spotlight.
But qualifications only tell part of the story.
The real joy for him comes from making complicated science feel simple, exciting, and unforgettable. Whether he’s teaching a curious ten-year-old who's just discovered dinosaurs, a home-educating family looking to explore biology in greater depth, or an adult who simply wants to understand the natural world better, his aim is always the same:

Matthew’s sessions aren't lectures in the traditional sense. They're conversations, adventures, debates, and stories. MEET JONTY
Jonty's fascination with animals has always been driven by one simple question: why? Why do animals behave the way they do? How do they adapt to the environments around them? And what can we do to ensure they continue to thrive in an ever-changing world? That curiosity has taken him from the classroom into the field, shaping a career dedicated to conservation, animal welfare, and inspiring others to appreciate the incredible diversity of life on Earth.
After completing his Bachelor's degree at the Royal Veterinary College in London, Jonty developed a broad understanding of animal biology, behaviour, physiology, genetics, disease, welfare, and ecology. Rather than stopping there, he chose to specialise further, earning a Master's degree in Wildlife Conservation, where he focused on the challenges facing wildlife across the globe, conservation genetics, field conservation, and designing practical solutions to protect species for the future.
As an educator, Jonty combines scientific knowledge with a relaxed and approachable style that helps learners of all ages feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. Whether introducing someone to their very first reptile or discussing the complexities of conservation biology, he has a talent for making science engaging, accessible, and genuinely enjoyable.
Those who work alongside Jonty quickly discover that his enthusiasm for animals is impossible to miss. He has a habit of happily lingering after sessions, answering just one more question, sharing one more fascinating fact, or introducing visitors to another remarkable adaptation. MEET LEIA
Leia's love of animals has always gone against the grain. While most children rushed towards the fluffy mammals at the zoo, she was making a beeline for the reptile house, determined to find the biggest snake she could. That fascination has only grown stronger over the years, developing into a passion for reptiles, invertebrates, and helping others discover just how incredible these often misunderstood animals really are.
Although her journey into animal care became a career more recently, her dedication has been unwavering. Since beginning her work with animals, Leia has gained experience volunteering in a wide variety of settings, including zoos, wildlife rescue, and specialist reptile collections. Alongside her practical experience, she has completed qualifications in rabbit care and behaviour, as well as herpetology—the study of reptiles and amphibians—giving her a strong understanding of both companion animal welfare and the fascinating biology of some of the world's most remarkable species.
At home, Leia shares her life with an ever-growing collection of animals that reflects her lifelong passion. Her family includes rabbits, snakes, geckos, invertebrates, and even an African pygmy hedgehog, with snakes holding a particularly special place in her heart. From corn snakes and royal pythons to western hognose snakes and boa constrictors, she is passionate about promoting responsible reptile keeping and hopes to establish an ethical corn snake breeding programme in the future.
As an educator, Leia brings warmth, energy, and plenty of fascinating facts to every session. She particularly enjoys helping people overcome fears and misconceptions surrounding reptiles and other often-overlooked animals, replacing uncertainty with curiosity and confidence. Whether she's introducing someone to their very first snake or sharing the incredible adaptations of an invertebrate, her enthusiasm is impossible not to catch.
For Leia, every animal has a story worth telling, and every encounter is an opportunity to inspire someone new. If you leave one of her sessions seeing snakes with admiration instead of fear—or simply feeling a little more curious about the natural world—then she'll consider it a job well done. Meet Charlie
Charlie believes that some of life’s greatest lessons can be learned through spending time with animals. Whether it’s caring for a curious gecko, building trust with a nervous dog, or watching children experience wildlife up close for the very first time, she is passionate about creating meaningful connections between people and the animals with whom we share the world.
With a BA (Hons) in Business Management and an MA in Filmmaking, alongside more than a decade of teaching experience, Charlie combines creativity, organisation, and a genuine love of education to make every session engaging, practical, and welcoming. Her approach focuses on building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and showing that responsible animal care is something everyone can learn.
Charlie previously ran a doggy daycare, where she specialised in positive reinforcement, enrichment, early development, and strengthening the relationship between dogs and their owners. Working closely with puppies and young dogs gave her a deep appreciation for animal behaviour, communication, and the importance of creating positive experiences that last a lifetime.
Away from teaching, Charlie lives a wonderfully busy country life surrounded by an ever-growing collection of animals. Alongside her two Labradors, Max and Milo, she cares for Gizmo the leopard gecko, Shermie the Hermann’s tortoise, Beep and Bop the White’s tree frogs, Milkshake the banana royal python, Cosmo and Nova the guinea pigs, Barry the giant African land snail, Leeloo the giant African millipede, stick insects, leaf insects, Madagascan hissing cockroaches, and a lively flock of seven chickens.
Those lucky enough to attend one of Charlie’s sessions may even meet Nugget, her exceptionally fluffy Silkie chicken, who is always ready for a cuddle and a little attention. With more animals regularly joining the family, life is rarely quiet, and there is always something new to discover.
Charlie has a particular passion for animal husbandry, positive dog training, enrichment, chicken keeping, safe animal handling, sustainable living, and helping new keepers develop the confidence to care for animals responsibly. She believes that learning should be practical, enjoyable, and filled with opportunities to ask questions and build useful skills.
As a mum to a young child, Charlie also understands the importance of introducing children to animals from an early age in a safe, positive, and respectful way. She believes that connecting with animals can nurture empathy, responsibility, confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.

MEET ROBBIE
Robbie has built his life around the animals that many people are too quick to misunderstand. As an Animal Educator and Handler, he loves introducing children and adults alike to fascinating species through engaging presentations, school visits and hands-on experiences that challenge perceptions and inspire curiosity.
Although he enjoys working with a wide variety of animals, tarantulas have always held a special place in his heart. His passion for these remarkable arachnids led him to create Robbie's Talking Ts, an educational platform dedicated to helping keepers better understand tarantula behaviour, welfare and husbandry. From enclosure design and environmental conditions to moulting and species-specific care, Robbie is passionate about making reliable information accessible to everyone.
Robbie believes the very best education never feels like a lecture. Instead, it begins with a story, a question or a moment of wonder that sparks curiosity and encourages people to learn more. Whether he's creating educational videos, photographing wildlife in its natural habitat or sharing the latest discoveries from the animal world, his goal is always the same: to help people see animals in a new light and develop a genuine appreciation for the incredible diversity of life on our planet.
When he's not teaching or creating content, Robbie can usually be found travelling in search of wildlife, camera in hand, or watching the latest nature documentaries in search of his next inspiration.
